You may be wondering why you cannot find many current bestsellers available to checkout for your eReader. Several publishers do not sell their digital books to libraries. Libraries can purchase a paper copy and circulate the book but cannot buy a digital book from Amazon or any other vendor and circulate the book. Traverse des Sioux Library System is advocating for change and so can you by contacting the following publishers who restrict or deny libraries from buying electronic versions of their book. Go to our eMedia Catalog at tds.lib.overdrive.com In the upper right hand corner click log in Type in your Library Card Number (no spaces) Type in your password if you do not know your password or you get a log in error please contact your local library Browse or search for titles |

You need a Computer with Adobe Digital Editions loaded (click here to download Adobe Digital Editions)
On your Computer at the e-Media Website (tds.lib.overdrive.com) check out the eBook you want to read, selecting EPub Format Click on Download After the download is complete connect your Nook to your Computer using the USB cable Right click and hold on the downloaded title and drag over the left of the screen and drop over the Nook icon Disconnect your Nook from the Computer. On your Nook go to My Files, find the Adobe Digital folder, tab to open and open book. |

On your Computer at the e-Media Website (tds.lib.overdrive.com) check out the eBook you want to read, selecting Kindle Format Click on Download for Kindle, this opens up the Amazon page, be sure you log into your account that is associated with your Kindle On your Kindle turn on the Wireless On the Amazon Website click on Get Library Book, this transfers the book to your Kindle Open book on your Kindle to read |

Go to the Apple store or the Android Market and download the Overdrive Media Console directly to your device Find your local library and select by highlighting the star to save location You are now ready to browse and checkout books to read directly onto your device. |
