Author Visit: Tim Mahoney

Author Tim Mahoney will speak at the Madelia Branch Library about his book "Secret Partners: Big Tom Brown and the Barker Gang". The book details how Tom Brown, the corrupt St. Paul police chief, aided many gangsters. The city of St. Paul was reformed in the later 1930's, but Tom Brown "got away" with his crimes.

Tim Mahoney worked as a copy editor at the St. Paul Pioneer Press for many years. He extensively researched his book using FBI files and photos from the St. Paul Pioneer Press. among other sources.
