Brian the Storyman from England's performance are highly interactive with his audience and combines acting, reading, and storytelling. Participants act out stories, play with language, laugh, and enjoy a form of storytelling that is rare and traditional. Brian uses actors, scenery, puppets, costumes, and audience props to give his storytelling depth.
Brian Poulton (St. Paul, MN) will perform his physically-active program "Let Move Like the Animals" which explores how and why animals move in different ways. This year's summer reading program is entitled Ready, Set, Read - which is a great pairing for Brian's program. With these interactive events, not only will the audience watch a storytelling performance, they will become part of it -- learning performance skills themselves.
This event is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
