Dollar-A-Day Boys: A musical tribute to the Civilian Conservation Corps - New Richland Public Library

Bill Jamerson will present on the Civilian Conservation Corp, the job wowrks gbovernment program created during the Great Depression that paid a "dollar-a-day" for jobs such as planting trees, building roads and sidewalks, and constructed parks. Jamerson uses music, stories, and video to present this hour long program. The CCC Boys of Minnesota did work in Le Sueur County and spent their money in Waseca keeping the merchants in business.

This event is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
