Lunch and a Bite of History speaker series - New Ulm Public Library

Lunch and a Bite of History is a weeklong series of presentations focused on historical research related to the US-Dakota war of 1862. All presentations will be about 40 minutes with a 15-minute Q&A session to follow. Some presenters will conclude a book signing session. 

Dr. Don Heinrich Tolzmann, a Minnesota native and retired Curator of the German-Americana Collection and Director of the German-American Studies Program at the University of Cincinnati, will discuss Rudolf Leonhart, whose book "Memories of New Ulm was translated and edited by Tolzmann, Leonhart accepted a teaching position at New Ulm in 1861 and lived through the
US - Dakota War.
