Historian Arn Kind will present his program, "Minnesota's Fur Trade and the French Voyageur" at Martin Luther High School in Northrop, MN. Arn uses an interactive style to tell the tale of Minnesota's first business, the fur trade. The presentation will be done twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. All area Lutheran schools will be in attendance, and it will be open to the public. Following the presentations, the Martin Luther High School yearbook class will create a collage of photos from the event to display at the Fairmont Library, along with Minnesota history materials available for check-out.
This event is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
