Minneapolis Star Tribune editorial writer and columnist Lori Sturdenvant will discuss her Minnesota Book Award-winning book "Her Honor: Rosalie Wahl and the Minnesota Women's Movement" as part of the library's monthly History Book Group. Sturdevant will discuss her research and writing processes for the book, and she will answer audience questions. The program will end with a book signing session.
Sturdevant joined the Minneapolis Tribune as a summer replacement reporter in 1975, returned as a reporter in 1976 and was lead Capitol reporter and a newsroom assignment editor before joining the Autobiography of Elmer L. Andersen” and “The Pillsburys of Minnesota.” “Her Honor” tells the story of Rosalie Wahl, the first woman on the Minnesota Supreme Court, as well as the leaders of the women’s movement in Minnesota.This event is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
