For our 4th annual community read we've selected a book ( which cannot be named at this early date) relating to WWII in eastern Europe. The premise for our event is not just that everyone reads the same book, but that participants learn something along the way. We plan to give away 500 copies of the book, many through our community business partners who will act as pick-up sites.
Programs this year include a book discussion, a speaker on the cooperating with VIne Faith in Action and Mankato Community Ed on an enrichment activity/trip following the community read.
Documentary screening (likely The Path to Nazi Genocide)
This event is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
