According to the Mad Science of Iowa, "We aim to spark the imagination and curiosity of all children in central Iowa, and anywhere else we travel, by providing them with educational, entertaining and fun activites instilling a clear understanding of what science is really all about, and how it affects the worlds around them."
Mad Science of Iowa will present exciting program with a focus on this year's summer reading theme, "Every Hero has a Story." Their program will spark children's imagination and increase their interest in the sciences related to literature, including Batman, Spiderman, Pippi Longstocking, Power Rangers, Scooby Doo, Anne of Green Gables and many others. Featured character and science focuses books will be displayed in the library during the program and children will be encouraged to check out these books as well as sign up for the Summer Reading Program.
This event is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
