Mary Relindes Ellis's newest novel, The Bohemian Flats, tells the story of a man caught up in the immigrant culture of a river village in Minnesota in teh throes of World War I. The Star-Tribune called Ellis, "A magician with historical details." The Pioneer Press called The Bohemian Flats "riveting" and said it should go on everyone's "must read" list.
