Thousand Print Summer - St. James

ArtOrg brings 5-6 experienced artist workers, and all the equipment and supplies needed. The artists of the event help explain exactly what is a print and how it works to the people participating. They help participants come up with their own idea to create a print and then a steamroller is used on the print to create a piece of work the participant is able to take home. ArtOrg uses the term "discrepant event" meaning things don't always turn out as expected. Letters and figures are created backwards on the print block and the colors are chosen by the participants. Trail and error happens, which is key in any educational opportunity.

This event on August 4th is from 4 - 8 pm, Watonwan County Library/Memorial Park.

This event is made possible by a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative and was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
